Happy Mother's Day!

Starting My Vegetable Garden!

Well, today is the day I get to get "down and dirty".  I am starting the 2010 summer vegetable garden.  Here in San Diego, California, I am very fortunate to grow year-round!  I espescially enjoy putting in starting summer vegetables.

How to obtain super fresh produce for LESS money!

Like most Americans, we struggle to meet our daily intake of fruits and vegetables.  If you are striving to incorporate more fruits and veggies into your diet and are concerned about the costs, take this tip:
Shop at Farmers Markets!
You can buy direct from the grower and usually farmers markets have organic produce too.
And, buying at a farmers market may give you a wider selection of produce not typically sold in a traditional grocery store.
